The
Single Gourmet, the International Social Dining Club, offers
single men and women the opportunity to make new friends while
sharing good food, good company, and interesting, intelligent
conversation in pleasant surroundings. The Tidewater/Hampton
Roads chapter of the Single Gourmet is now in its 20th and
final year. We will be offering monthly dinners through the
fall of 2008. We no longer require membership -- our dinners
are open to all who are interested. Please note that
first-timers are charged a one-time fee of $10 above the cost
of their first dinner.
Evenings
are designed to provide both general mixing and smaller
conversation groups. On a typical evening, you're invited to
arrive any time after 6:30 pm to mix and mingle. At 7:30,
you'll be seated at tables arranged to accommodate 4-8 people
for dinner. Restaurants are selected to reflect the wide range
of interesting cuisines available in the Greater Tidewater
area.
A
four course meal is traditionally offered, with appealing
choices on each menu. For ethnic cuisines that may be less
familiar, a family style banquet menu is offered. The cost per
meal is posted on the Web site and always includes the meal,
taxes, and gratuity. Alcoholic beverages are usually not
included in our prices. Payment may be made by cash and check
only.
Our
dinners offer single men and women a new and relaxed way to
meet. We do not purport to be a matchmaking or dating service.
